Professor Shankaracharya, the esteemed Director of Academics and Principal of VEIT Degree and Vijaya Composite PU College, holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from Bangalore University. With an illustrious career spanning over 28 years, he has made remarkable contributions to academia, excelling in roles ranging from classroom educator to influential leader in the teaching fraternity.
His expertise extends beyond conventional teaching, as he has served as a Master Resource Person in Accountancy for the Karnataka Pre-University Education Board, a Guest Lecturer, In-charge Principal, Vice-Principal, and Principal of a Degree College. Currently, he is the Director of Academics for the Vijaya Group of Institutions and a Member of the Board of Studies for B.Com and BBA at Bangalore University (SEP 2024). Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Vice President of BUPA.
Beyond academics, Professor Shankaracharya is deeply knowledgeable in the Vedas and Sanskrit, embodying a blend of traditional wisdom and modern educational innovation. His relentless passion for education has driven him to develop progressive learning structures for future generations. A recipient of the NSS ‘A’ Certificate, he was honored with the Shikshana Jyothi award by the Karnataka Civil Defense Corps for his dedication to education. His excellence in teaching has also been recognized by the Bhagyashree Foundation Trust.
His accolades include the Gurukrutajnyata award from Amity University Bangalore, the Achievers Award 2024 for Academic Leadership from RVD Seva Pratishtana, and the Dynamic Institution Award from Education Today at the 12th National Conference on K-12 Leadership.
As a distinguished author, he has written several academic books for PU and Degree students. Committed to the cause of accessible education, he has been an advocate for free coaching classes through various service organizations. Demonstrating his visionary approach to curriculum development, he pioneered the introduction of Business Documentation as an open elective for all streams under Bangalore University’s NEP 2021 curriculum.
